Externally handmade bricks and locally source sandstone lintels were used along with a traditional slate roof and English oak for the entrance porch to create a period house feel.
Internally the client was keen to be as energy efficient as possible which was also a local authority planning stipulation, so air source heating was chosen for the central heating and hot water system.
We also installed a full MVHR system which recovers 92% of heat that is extracted and recirculates it throughout the property along with a constant flow of fresh filtered air.
A full Control 4 home automation system was installed so the client could be in control of heating, security, lighting, ventilation and TV and sound system via a mobile phone device.
The end result was a stunning period looking home with all the modern features for a family of today.
